We will be remember one day in the history books like the covid 19 generation.
A generation that I believe could do much more to help and support each other.
Covid 19 a virus that ruin hospitality and catering industry all over the planet, it will take a future decade of hard work to recovering from the lost of this two years.
Virus they are like bacteria in the food industrty, you can get food poison without knowing.
Just having good practice and good standard will help to prevent the issue.
So I believe if everyone following the rules and standard against this virus the all society will rise again quicker and we will come out like winner.
Let’s start talking about my childhood.
I was born in the early seventies, my parents they were very hard working people.
My mum was a teacher and my father was was working for a very popular Italian car manufacturer.
In the ’50 and ’60 there was a very strong discrimination between people from the north and south of Italy.
People from the south they weren’t welcome in the north but they were doing jobs that other people they were thinking low profiles.
Now I have decided to share my genuine passion for food and natural ingredients with all of you, That’s why I decided to create a blog where I can share my cooking Ideas. I would like to say that I’m writing only simple ideas because the concept and tradition of Italian cuisine is simple, but delicious and well known world wide.
They both born in Sicily and they moved to the north of Italy for a better professional life.
All the governament of the planet suppose to help and support each other to regenerate a better living world for all.
My first job in the UK was for a Costa coffee franchise based in Watford north London.
To be sincere my English was so poor that I didn’t understand straight away that the company gave me a job, but I was so happy.
I start as normal barista but I did have so much passion and desire to learn and integrate myself in my job place and in the country that gave me the opportunity.
Most of the customers , manager and the team help me and support with the language.
After nine months the manager decided to promote me as a supervisor regardless the level of my English
He was pleased with my work and he told me to lead the team by example.
They have to follow the way you working no the way you speak.
My confidence was growing and that helped my communication skills.
After nearly two years I decided to leave that job not because I didn’t like it but because I couldn’t grow anymore at that moment in time.
I joined John Lewis in Watford doing something completely different from catering and I been there nearly two years.
One day my phone rang and it was the owner of that coffee shop proposing me the opportunity to be the manager of that form.
It’s not been easy to begin with actually I was a bit frightened but I put my head down and work hard for it.
My leadership was on the beginning of a long term career in the industry under different companies …
After two years of management the owner decided to move is business in Milton Keynes and after few months I decided to follow him also because I decided to buy a property in MK
My career in management last over a decade then I did want to amplify my knowledge and skills in the catering industry and I start looking for jobs like cook or chefs.
I been cooking for retirement homes, collage , university and hotels for nearly 7 years.
I always have passion for cooking also if I didn’t do any school for it.
The beginning was hard, harder than I thought but the curiosity the learn and the challenge help my desire.
