Ciambella red velvet

Hi today I proposed another Christmas cake idea. I hope everyone will enjoy having a look.

This is my Ciambella red velvet.

Ingredients

  • 300 g of flour
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 250 g of butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 16 g of baking powder
  • Almond essence
  • 150 g natural yogurt
  • 1 little tub of red colour gel

Procedures

Start working the eggs with the sugar for about ten minutes. Then add the butter and the almond essence.

Add now the yogurt and gradually the flour and baking powder.

When the mix reaches the right consistency, divide it equally into two bowls.

Add the red colour gel into one of the bowls and mix it up.

Butter and flour a round baking tray and pour the two mix in it.

Mix them up and bake them for 45 minutes at 180 degrees.

When the cake is ready, let it rest a bit and turn it around.

Decorate the cake in anyway you fancy. In my case, I used some icing sugar, pomegranate, and some holly leaf been made with some green icing sugar.
