Hi everyone today I enjoy making this lovely apple cake topped up with a nutty granola crumble.

A really yummy cake crunchy and soft at the same time, I hope you will enjoy making it too.

Ingredients

For the cake

  • 3 eggs
  • 3 apples
  • 180g of flour
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 80g of butter
  • 150g of sugar
  • a teaspoon of nutmeg
  • a teaspoon of cinnamon

For the crumble

  • 50g of flour
  • 50g of sugar
  • 50g of butter
  • 50g of nutty granola
  • a teaspoon of cinnamon

Procedures

Lets start to make make the crumble, in a bowl put all the dried ingredients with the diced butter, mix it with your hands until the crumble doesnt reach the right consistency (kind of wet sand) and put it in  the fridge.

In another bowl put the eggs and sugar work this two ingredients well together for about 5/10 mionutes, then add the melt butter and the gradually the dried ingredients.

Pre heat the oven at 180 degrees.

Put some greeseproof paper in the baking tray and pouring in it the cake mix.

On top the mix put the apple slices and cover the surface of the cake.

Take now the crumble from the fridge and sprinkle on top of the apples.

Bake the cake in the pre heated oven at 180 degrees for 40 minutes.

When the cake is ready let it cool down and serve.

You can serve the cake with pouring cream or custard (patisserie cream).
